President William Ruto is expected to visit the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos as preparations continue for a proposed 700,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Lamu, Kenya. The visit is expected to strengthen cooperation between Kenya and Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote ahead of the planned groundbreaking on September 30.
The proposed refinery is expected to increase petroleum refining capacity and contribute to energy and industrial development in East Africa.
